The Postpartum Series

During pregnancy, your body changes radically to accommodate your growing baby. After birth, things don’t automatically go back to the way they were. Whether you lose your baby weight or you don’t, your muscles need a reeducation to avoid pain and problems down the line. The Postpartum Series is that complete reeducation.

In just five simple visits, you’ll learn all you need to know to get your body working better for you than it ever has before.

The Week-By-Week Plan

Your Story

We’ll conduct a postural screen and cover the good, the bad, and the beautiful about your pregnancy, your labor, and your delivery. We’ll discuss any scarring (maybe more than just physical) and how we can address it.

just breathe

This week, you’ll learn how to breathe well and how to find and wake up the muscles in your lower abdomen and pelvic floor. You’ll decrease your chances of incontinence years down the line and ensure a comfortable return to intimacy.

The Core

You may have heard about the dreaded ab muscle separation called diastasis recti. During this visit, we’ll assess your abdominal muscles and determine whether or not you have one, then create a plan to restore or prevent it.

the pelvic FLoor

Your pelvic floor has been over utilized and under appreciated for 9 months…or longer! It’s time to bring awareness to these muscle and show them some love and attention. We will assess these muscles to your comfort level, so we can get your body working efficiently once again for your continence, your stability, your strength and your ability to relax and let go.

the pelvic girdle

Your pelvis is the foundation of all movements of your legs and spine, and it undergoes huge change for 9 months. We want to make sure the muscles of your pelvis remember how to provide stability as it heals after pregnancy.

Life, it’s time.

This week we’ll take what we have learned over the last month and bring

it into your individual life, wellness and workout needs and goals.

We recommend 5 visits in 5 weeks but can adjust based on your scheduling needs.
All visits are 60 minutes, and the entire visit is 1 on 1 with a pelvic health specialist.
Participating in this program entitles you to a free consult with a Pilates instructor and counselor.
