Nikki Baker LPC, BCBA
Nikki received her Bachelors of Arts in Music Therapy from Mansfield University in 1992 and became Board Certified in Music Therapy within the same year. She furthered her education in 1997 when she completed a Masters of Arts with a concentration in Music Psychotherapy from Temple University. In 2002, she became a Licensed Professional Counselor and has since completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Behavioral Analysis through Penn State’s Worldwide Campus (2008) and a year later became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
The balance of arts and science has been her passion for 25 years.
Nikki’s therapeutic approach is rooted in expressive arts techniques with the guiding principles of trauma-informed care. Her specific interventions, which include, the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music, the Mandala MARI Art technique, and Attachment Based therapies, are woven together in a creative tapestry for individual growth and wellness. Her areas of interest include: 1) Performance Anxiety; 2) Depression; 3) Sleep Disturbance; 4) Parent-Child Relational Problems; 5) Stress Management; 6) Compassion Fatigue; and 7) Vicarious Trauma.
A native of the Lehigh Valley, Nikki lives on the Monocacy Creek where she has raised three beautiful children with her husband and admires her Bernese Mountain dog’s lazy demeanor.
